Neil Ryan


Neil Ryan brings a wealth of experience to Tullis Health Investors. Neil has worked with the firm since becoming a senior advisor in 2001. Neil participates in all investment discussions and decisions, as well as all internal partner meetings and processes.

Prior to Tullis Health Investors, Neil co-founded two well-known venture capital funds: Oxford Partners in 1981, and its successor, Oxford Bioscience Partners, in 1990. Earlier he co-founded and was President of Randolph Computer Corporation (RCC), an American Stock Exchange listed company focused on computer software and venture leasing which then merged into the Travelers Corp., now part of CitiGroup. Subsequently, he was president of GTE New Ventures Corporation and a senior vice president of GTE Corporation. In nearly 30 years as a venture capitalist, Neil has served on numerous Boards of both public and private companies. He was the founding Chairman of the Healthcare Venture Investors Group.

Neil received his BA from the University of Ottawa, Canada, and his MBA with honors from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton Graduate School of Business.
